So far we've had a pretty wonderful Easter. We have worshiped our risen Savior and dedicated our sweet "baby" girl to the Lord. No pictures of that, but we do have pictures of Easter baskets and egg hunting. Lucy was napping during the first egg hunt, so the kids took a turn hiding the eggs and Marshall and I hunted. Once Lucy woke up, we had another round of Easter egg hunting.
Checking out their baskets this morning before church. This is the first time ALL of my kids have received the EXACT same things for a holiday (in their appropriate size and theme, of course). This may not mean anything to most people, but to me it says that we no longer have a baby in the house who needs to get something slightly different from the rest of the kids. I'm still deciding how I feel about that!
The first egg hunt. This was after church and lunch, so the kids still have on church clothes but not church shoes.
Lucy finally woke up and wasn't too sure about the whole egg hunting thing.
She finally started getting into it, but every time she picked up an egg she would open in, see there was nothing in it, throw it on the ground and say "all gone."
Pointing to an egg way up high.
Eventually Lucy got tired of hunting Easter eggs and decided to dig.
It's been a great day. Now if our Blue Devils will pull off a win this afternoon, it will just be the icing on the cake!
