Dance 2012

Our dancing queen has just finished up her second season of dance.  She was in the Movement class again this year, which is really just an introduction of dance in general for the younger set (ages 3-5).  She really seemed to like it and especially loved getting all dressed up for the recital!  Her class danced to a song from Tangled this year, which was especially fun, since we all love the movie.  Most of these pictures were take on dress rehearsal day because I knew she would be more cooperative for me on that day!

All dancers had to wear their hair in a bun, so here is our before picture.

And after the bun.  She was so excited and would not stand still for me, so I'm pretty proud of myself for getting all that hair pulled back, all while dealing with a twirly girl!

Rain boots are a great accessory, don't you think?

The girls are supposed to be brushing their hair like Rapunzel in this one.

The big finish.  Isn't it a hoot?!

After rehearsal, we walked around to take some more pictures.  Here she is contemplating how she wants to pose.  I actually didn't like any of the posed shots, but she put her ballet shoes back on and danced around and I love how those turned out!

The next day, Ninny and Grandy came to town for the big performance.

Grammy came to see her dance, as well.  Pop stayed home with the other three kids.  THANK YOU, Pop!

Anna did a great job up on stage, and despite the fact that she wore the plainest recital costume I have ever seen, she was beautiful and we are so proud of our little ballerina!
