So we're going to Disney World, with all of our kids. That's four kids, and two adults. Two of those children tend to wander and don't know their phone number. So I started thinking of ways to keep us together, and decided coordinating t-shirts was the way to go (who cares about those temporary tattoos with the parents' cell numbers on them, they are just not cute enough). Then I just got really excited about it because it's fun and because this is probably my only chance to match my kids at Disney. And if you can't match at Disney World, then really, where CAN you match?!
So I ordered a few iron on decals from a seller I found on etsy for our last trip. She was great to work with and created the star wars mickey's just for me.
This first set is for Hollywood Studios. Jack's Mickey is Boba Fett, Sam's is r2d2, and the girls have glitter on their shirts because every princess needs a little glitter. :)
I totally stole this idea from pinterest and I think these are my favorites. The original shirts I saw were all the same color and used the same font on each shirt, but I like that these fit each character. Jack isn't really into any particular Disney character but he loves Star Wars and I figured since Disney bought out Lucas Films, Yoda sort of counts as Disney.
This next set I made all by myself! I got a little crazy and even made skirts for the girls. They definitely have some imperfections, but I think they turned out pretty cute. And this was a super cheap project - about $25 for all four shirts and the skirts (and that includes the price of buying the plain t-shirts)!
This last group was a last minute add on. This pretty much sums it up:
Yep, that's what we did, added another day to our trip just a few weeks ago. We technically added it to the beginning of our trip, though. And the fact that we were going to start our trip without fun shirts started to bother me (yeah I know, first world problems). I needed something super cheap because, well, we just added another day to our trip, and Disney isn't free! So I bought t-shirts on clearance ($2.50-$3.50, except for Lucy's - we already had hers) and cut out a stencil using freezer paper, ironed it on the shirt, then sprayed with bleach.
Not too shabby for less than $10!
Notice there are no shirts for the adults. I just couldn't convince Marshall to participate in this one.

Wish I could go and you make a ninny shirt for me.
